The restoration of Ruckle has been in a several-months-long pause to accommodate the various demands of work and work-related projects as well as tasks around the home. Restoration will resume in July and hopefully be continuous through the Fall and Winter, with a hopeful launch date in Summer 2023. One of the around-the-home tasks actually resembled some work I did in the cockpit long ago. My swimming pool had a dilapidated diving board that I disposed of at the local transfer station. I really didn’t want a diving board anyway. Instead of removing the base of the diving board, however, I built a swim platform in the style of a laid teak deck or cockpit.
